Recordings have appeared online showing thick black smoke rising over the district. According to preliminary reports, at least three powerful explosions were heard at the scene.

Russian media reports suggest that the car and fuel tanks exploded. The fire reportedly also engulfed building materials located at the site.

The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations states that the fire has been contained. "The reasons for the incident are still being determined," reads the published statement.

There is currently no information about the owner of the car that exploded.

Preliminary reports indicate there are no fatalities.

Anton Gerashchenko, an advisor to the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs, reminds us that last week Russia revealed it has a "drone centre" at this location where UAVs participating in the invasion of Ukraine are remotely controlled.

Kyiv has not yet officially commented on the fire in Moscow.
