Lin, citing a previously published statement from the Ministry of Diplomacy, reiterated during a press briefing that Beijing "China regrets India's military action" and is "concerned" about the development of the situation.

The spokesperson also urged Chinese citizens in the region to increase their awareness of the threats related to the conflict and to avoid travelling to areas affected by military actions.

Operation Sindoor

The Indian Ministry of Defence reported on Wednesday that, as part of retaliatory actions for the April terrorist attack, which claimed 26 lives, it fired on "terrorist infrastructure" facilities in Pakistan and in the Pakistani-administered part of contested Kashmir.

Authorities in Islamabad labelled the attacks as a "blatant act of war." According to the latest reports, the clashes from several hours ago resulted in 36 deaths—26 in Pakistan and 10 in India.
