- The President of the United States, Donald Trump, stated on Sunday that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is "ready to give up Crimea in order to strike a peace deal". He added that he is surprised and disappointed by further Russian bombings in Ukraine.
- North Korea confirmed for the first time that it sent soldiers to Russia to fight Ukrainian forces with the goal of "liberating areas controlled by Ukrainians in the Russian Kursk region." The official KCNA agency statement added that North Korean troops supported Russian forces.
- At least 31 civilians, including minors, were executed by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces in Omdurman, the Sudanese Doctors Network (SDN) reported on Sunday on platform X. The organization called these executions the largest documented mass killing in the region and a crime against humanity. The group of Sudanese doctors reported that the victims were accused by the paramilitary group of having ties to the Sudanese army.

Increasing deportation pressure is causing a rise in asylum applications in many locations.
