If you're looking for a meal idea that doesn't require hours at the stove, chicken pasta casserole is an excellent choice. It combines tender meat, juicy vegetables, and aromatic tomato sauce, making it not only tasty but also wholesome.

To prepare it, you will need:

                                              
  • 115 g of spiral pasta,
  • 1 chicken breast,
  • 1 onion,
  • 1 clove of garlic,
  • 1 bell pepper,
  • 1 tomato,
  • 2 tablespoons of tomato paste,
  • 1 cup of water,
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube,
  • 200 g of light mozzarella cheese,
  • 4 tablespoons of oil.

How to prepare chicken pasta casserole?

Step 1: Prepare the ingredients: Start by peeling the onion and slicing it into thin strips. Press the garlic through a garlic press. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the vegetables until they become translucent and aromatic.

Step 2: Cooking the pasta: Cook the pasta al dente—this way it won't overcook during baking, and its texture will remain perfect.

Step 3: Stewing the meat and vegetables: Cut the chicken breast into thin strips and dice the bell pepper and tomato. Add everything to the pan with the onion and garlic, then stew for about 15 minutes. Add water, the bouillon cube, and tomato paste, stirring to achieve a uniform sauce.

Step 4: Baking: Transfer the pasta to a baking dish, pour over the prepared sauce with vegetables and chicken, and top with grated mozzarella. Place in an oven preheated to 180°C and bake for 20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and lightly browned.
