Drone footage reveals execution of Ukrainian prisoners in Piatykhatky
Journalists from the Associated Press have obtained shocking footage, which serves as evidence of the execution of four Ukrainian soldiers captured by Russians in the village of Piatykhatky in southern Ukraine. The Russians allegedly killed all the military personnel with a shot to the back of the head.
The Associated Press reported that there are two versions of the recording of the same event. The first was recorded by a Russian drone, and the second by a Ukrainian one. The Russian version shows the moment the soldiers were captured but omits the moment of their murder.
Meanwhile, the footage from the Ukrainian drone (available online but not published here due to its brutal nature) shows the entire course of the war crime.
Ukrainian soldiers were captured in the village of Piatykhatky in southern Ukraine. The military personnel were hiding in the rubble of a demolished house, from which they emerged one by one.
A Russian soldier constantly pointed a gun at the four soldiers, ordering them to lie face down on the ground. A search followed. Afterward, one of the Russian soldiers took a gun and killed the Ukrainian captives with a shot to the back of the head. Other Russians joined him.
Journalists from the Associated Press received the footage from European officials who wish to remain anonymous. The shocking execution was documented by a drone of the 128th Mountain Brigade.
The Russians deny the crime, and the evidence might be the aforementioned film from the Russian drone. This material is available on social media. The authors complemented it with ominous music and edited it to make it look like they were persuading the Ukrainian soldiers to surrender. The video ends with Ukrainian soldiers lying alive, face down on the ground.
