FBI visit to Ben Affleck's home sparks wildfire intrigue
In January, during the fires in Los Angeles, media displayed photos of FBI agents knocking on Ben Affleck's door. Immediately, various speculations began to circulate. In an interview with "GQ Magazine," the actor discussed the circumstances of the event.
An FBI spokeswoman confirmed the presence of agents on the Hollywood star's property, but her explanation was very brief: "Members of the FBI's Ground Intercept task force are conducting activity in the area of the Palisades fire. Agents and our local partners may be visible throughout the area, including at residences, for this reason."
Sensational media reports soon emerged, linking the FBI's visit to an incident in which a private drone collided with a firefighting plane as it was assisting in combatting the blaze.
It turns out that when the FBI agents appeared, the actor was not at home, and his house was threatened by the fire. He learned about the situation from the media and, concerned, immediately sought to find out what was happening.
"I called them and said, 'Hey, FBI, were you at my house? Do you want to talk to me?' 'Oh, we don’t know.' I got transferred along. Finally, somebody who was actually responsible for what was happening was like, 'Oh, we had no idea that was your house'," the star recalls in an interview with GQ.

During his "private investigation," Affleck discovered that one of his neighbours is a federal officer whose home had been burglarized during the fires. Because of this, the FBI was interviewing nearby residents. While looking for witnesses, they visited Ben Affleck's property.
