According to Palestinian authorities, over the past 24 hours in the Gaza Strip, 459 injured people were taken to hospitals due to Israeli attacks, and the bodies of 153 deceased individuals were retrieved from the rubble. The number of casualties, however, may be even higher, as rescue teams are having difficulty reaching all those affected, further complicating the situation.

Since the beginning of the intensified conflict in the Gaza Strip in October 2023, 53,272 people have died, and 120,673 have been injured.

Israel resumed combat operations in the Gaza Strip

The Israeli Army resumed combat operations in the Gaza Strip on March 18, 2025, breaking the ceasefire. This decision was approved by the Israeli government last week. The goal of the offensive is to relocate Palestinian civilians to the south, seize the remaining areas of the Gaza Strip, and dismantle the Hamas organization. Israel promises to resume humanitarian aid, but under new terms, which raises controversy and concerns within the international community.

The latest episode of the war in the Gaza Strip has been ongoing since October 7, 2023, when Hamas attacked southern Israel, killing about 1,200 people and abducting 251 as hostages. The Israeli army believes that 23 hostages remain in captivity and the bodies of 35 kidnapped individuals are still being held.
