Ice Marvel in Sweden: Visitors flock to unique hotel experience
For the 35th time, an ice hotel has been constructed in Jukkasjärvi in northern Sweden. To create the 12 extraordinary suites, about 500 metric tonnes of ice and snow were utilized. Although the cost of staying overnight can be staggering, there is no shortage of interest from guests.
This year, for the 35th time, the doors of the Icehotel in Sweden have been opened. This year's hotel includes 12 suites, each uniquely decorated with its own artistic vision. There is a room inspired by classical music, a toy chest, animals, dreams, and dance. However, one must hurry to visit this marvel, as the structure will melt in the spring.
The unique object has been created again
Staying overnight in an ice hotel is undoubtedly an unforgettable experience. However, tourists often wonder how to spend the night in an ice room without freezing. It's worth noting that the average temperature inside stays relatively low, ranging from -5°C to -8°C, so bringing warm clothing is essential. Guests can be assured of comfortable sleeping conditions, as the beds are equipped with reindeer skins and special thermal sleeping bags.
However, the ice rooms are not the only attraction. Guests can also visit the bar, which is entirely made of ice.
Additionally, the hotel offers many attractions, such as snowmobile rides, dog sledding, and ice fishing. This location also has a high chance of witnessing the Northern Lights.
The price is not low
An overnight stay in the ice hotel is quite a treat, but it comes at a price. The rates vary greatly depending on the date and whether you choose a room or a suite sculpted by one of the artists. No option is cheap, as rates for a two-person stay start at about $660 CAD. On weekends, a suite can cost even over $1,970 CAD for one night for two people.
The standard "warm rooms" also offered by the hotel are much cheaper. These, however, are not made of ice, which does not provide the same unique attraction.
