Lady Gaga's heartfelt stand at the Grammys for transgender rights
Lady Gaga at this year's Grammy gala not only collected the award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance but also expressed support for transgender individuals who have recently faced attacks from Donald Trump.
The 67th Grammy Awards Ceremony was, as usual, full of emotion. One of the music awards went to Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars. The artists were recognized for their track "Die With A Smile." Naturally, they also took to the stage to collect their award.
Lady Gaga didn't hide her emotions during her acceptance speech. The singer, who has been a strong ally of sexual minorities since her career, highlighted the LGBTQ+ community in her address.
It’s such an honour to sing for all of you. I just want to say tonight that trans people are not invisible. Trans people deserve love. The queer community deserves to be lifted up. Music is love. Thank you - Gaga said emotionally, with tears in her eyes.

The star's speech received loud applause and cheers from the well-known faces in the audience, who immediately rose from their seats. In clips that have already appeared on social media, we can see the reactions of Beyoncé, Charli XCX, and Billie Eilish, among others. Her appeal was, of course, related to Donald Trump's recent attacks on the LGBTQ community.
The Republican, even before his official return to the White House, announced that he would seek to put an end to what he called "transgender madness." For this reason, former President Donald Trump signed orders aimed at, among other things, limiting healthcare options for transgender youth. He also declared transgender members of the US military as "unfit" for service and signed an order stating that "there are only two genders."
