Many pieces of information provided by Russian and Belarusian media or government representatives are elements of propaganda. Such reports are a part of the information war conducted by the Russian Federation.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Minsk is the preferred place for talks about Ukraine. In a conversation with TASS, he argued that Belarus, as Russia's main ally, is the ideal location for negotiations.

"This is our main ally. This is why this is the best location for us to negotiate," said Peskov, as cited by the TASS agency.

Previously, Alexander Lukashenko proposed organizing a meeting with Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, and Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Minsk. "Come, we'll sit down, talk calmly, without noise, without shouting. So tell Trump: I'm waiting for him here with Putin and Zelenskyy," stated Lukashenko, quoted by the BelTA agency.

Lukashenko is alleged to claim that Washington and Moscow can be partners in global stability, calling it "essential for ending conflicts." "Lukashenko talks about peace—but Ukraine has seen what Belarusian 'neutrality' really means," notes NEXTA.

Zelenskyy's proposals

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, proposed the first stage of ending the war, which includes the release of prisoners and a truce in the air and at sea, provided that Russia reciprocates.

Zelenskyy expressed readiness to act under the "strong leadership" of Donald Trump and to sign a mineral agreement with the USA "at any time that is convenient for you."
