On Saturday in Los Angeles County, the bodies of two Israeli businessmen were discovered within a few hours of each other. The first victim was 47-year-old Alexander Modebadze, who was murdered in a particularly brutal way. The attackers broke into his home, imprisoned him for several hours, and then beat him to death.

The police acted swiftly, arresting three Georgian suspects in connection with this crime. The men have been charged and detained, although they may be released on bail set at $2 (CAD 2.7) million.

Who was the second victim?

Later the same day, police discovered the body of another Israeli businessman, Meni Hidhry. He was the brother of the head of a prison in central Israel. Although the details of this crime have not been fully disclosed, it is known that the suspect is a Latino man aged between 30 and 40. The police do not see a clear link between these two murders, despite both victims residing in the same area.
