Musk's daughter Vivian criticizes him: Mars colonization called a sham

20-year-old Vivian Wilson, daughter of Elon Musk, who no longer maintains contact with him but is eager to criticize him publicly, has launched another attack on her estranged father. She called him a fool during a conversation with leftist streamer Hasan Piker.

Vivian Jenna Wilson, the eldest daughter of Elon Musk, has been in conflict with her father for years and has emerged in the media over recent months as one of the billionaire's most vocal critics.

In April 2022, when she turned 18, the transgender daughter of the SpaceX owner filed a request in the Los Angeles County Superior Court in Santa Monica to change her name. She adopted her mother’s surname, Canadian Justine Wilson, Musk’s first wife, who divorced him in 2008.

In an interview with streamer Piker, Wilson shared anecdotes about her childhood and her passion for languages (she is currently studying Japanese in Japan), along with further accusations against her father.

Mocks her father. Elon Musk under daughter’s criticism

She called Musk a clown and a narcissist. When asked how much her father actually works during the day, she responded with a sarcastic remark: "Most of the time I saw him working he was just yelling at employees in the car while we watched, horrified, like viscerally screaming," Vivian said.

She spoke very harshly about his right-wing views. She dismissed the suggestion that such a sudden change might be a reaction to her gender identity. "I cannot take credit for him becoming a ... [fool] … I am not the reason he’s a... fascist," she said.

Cleared any doubts. Colonization of Mars is a "scheme"

One of her most intriguing statements was that the colonization of Mars, one of SpaceX’s planned goals, is simply not happening. She told Piker, "It’s a marketing scheme that everyone somehow fell for despite being debunked by a ... Google search," she revealed.

Sending people to Mars has been a dream of Musk's for over two decades. The billionaire is active in the Mars Society, a non-profit organization that has been advocating for the colonization of Mars since 2001. Since SpaceX's founding, one of the broader goals of the company has been to send humanity to Mars to ensure the survival of the species.

In early March, Musk announced that the next-generation Starship spacecraft will head for Mars at the end of 2026, carrying the humanoid robot Optimus on board. He added that if these landings are successful, around 2030, he will organize a human-crewed expedition.

Musk wants to colonize Mars. Experts are aghast

Musk’s plan to colonize Mars has met with significant criticism. Many, including former U.S. President Barack Obama, argue that humanity should prioritize protecting Earth. Famous astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson Rees contended that Elon Musk’s idea of having a million people settle on Mars is a "dangerous delusion."

"Life on Mars isn’t better than living at the South Pole or on top of Mount Everest," said Musk's daughter.
