Navigating peace: US brokers Black Sea safety and market access

Russia and Ukraine have agreed to ensure safe navigation and refrain from using force in the Black Sea, the White House announced after talks with both parties. The statement also emphasized that the United States will work towards restoring Russia's access to global markets for agricultural products and fertilizers.

After discussions with the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Riyadh, the White House reported that both sides agreed to ensure "safe navigation" in the Black Sea.

The United States also stated that it will help restore Russian access to global markets for their agricultural products and fertilizers. It was also emphasized that the US would like to facilitate access to ports and payment systems for such transactions.

End to attacks on energy infrastructure

Both sides also agreed to cease attacks aimed at energy infrastructure in Ukraine and Russia.

The United States is also set to support prisoner exchange processes and facilitate the return of Ukrainian children taken from the invaded country.

According to the White House statement, the US will continue to support negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. It was emphasized that efforts will continue towards achieving a lasting and enduring peace.
