  • Kim Jong Un urged the North Korean army to fully prepare for war, which he considers a primary task.
  • The tactical exercises supervised by Kim included operations using drones.
  • North Korea confirmed sending over 10,000 soldiers to Russia as part of a strategic partnership agreement with that country.

Kim Jong Un oversaw military tactical exercises that involved drone operations.

- Our revolutionary armed forces are now in charge of not a few fronts, but the most important among them is the anti-imperialist class front, and making full preparations for war is the most crucial task - the dictator said during the exercises, as quoted by the regime's KCNA agency.

Analysts from South Korea's Yonhap agency interpret these words as an attempt to legitimize military support for Russia in the conflict with Ukraine.

South Korean media also suggest that the exercises, which took place on Tuesday, are aimed at exchanging combat experience gained by Pyongyang's army on the Russian front, particularly in drone tactics.

At the end of last month, North Korea officially confirmed it had sent more than 10,000 soldiers to Russia. The official statement noted that military cooperation between the two nations has intensified following the comprehensive strategic partnership treaty signed by Kim and Russian President Vladimir Putin last year.
