North Korean missile in Kyiv: American components revealed
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed that the ballistic missile that hit Kyiv originated from North Korea, with most of its components manufactured in the USA.
On Thursday, Kyiv was targeted in a missile attack that resulted in the deaths of 12 civilians, including children, and injured 90 people.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the ballistic missile involved in the attack was manufactured in North Korea, and most of its components were sourced from American companies.
Components from the USA in a missile from North Korea
Zelensky emphasized that the details about the missile are still being investigated, but it is already known that it had at least 116 components imported from other countries, most of which were manufactured in the USA.
"The lack of pressure on Russia allows them to import such missiles and other weapons to use in Europe. Similarly, the lack of pressure on North Korea and its allies allows them to produce such ballistic missiles," Zelensky wrote on Telegram.
Joint defence as the key to security
The President of Ukraine noted that in today's world, any war can quickly involve many different actors.
"Any country that falls victim to aggression is always defending itself not against a single entity, but against a group of accomplices," he added.
Zelensky expressed gratitude to all those helping Ukraine by supplying air defence systems and missiles and applying pressure on Russia and its allies.
