- The Portuguese Ministry of Health confirmed a failure in the electronic death certificate issuance system. As a result, there have been numerous delays in organizing funerals across the entire country. According to TV channels SIC and CMTV, citing sources in the ministry's Directorate-General for Health (DGS), the system failure has persisted for at least four days. Media reports indicate that due to the chaos related to the system failure, several hundred funerals across the country have been delayed or temporarily cancelled.
- Thousands of people took to the streets of Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic, for the first time in years on Friday, to protest against the plans of President Faustin-Archange Touadéra, who intends to run for a third term with the support of Russian mercenaries from the Wagner Group. The protests were organized by opposition parties, led by the Republican Bloc for the Defense of the Constitution (BRDC).
