According to Reuters, the meeting will be attended by the United States President's special envoy for the Middle East, Witkoff, and the United States President's special envoy for Ukraine, General Kellogg.

President Donald Trump announced on Monday that he is contemplating travelling to Istanbul on Thursday. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has already confirmed his attendance. It remains uncertain whether Russian leader Vladimir Putin will be present.

According to unofficial reports, Putin will not attend the Istanbul meetings.

The President of Ukraine also commented on discussions with Putin. When asked if Zelensky is considering meeting with another Russian representative, given Putin's potential absence from the talks in Istanbul, Podolak responded succinctly: No, of course. Well, this is not the format.
