As a result of the crash, 15 people were taken to the hospital, mostly due to smoke inhalation from the burning aircraft.

The flight departed from Canela Airport, destined for Florianopolis. The cause of the tragedy is still unknown. Governor Eduardo Leite confirmed that no survivors were among the passengers.
