Polish troops aid Lithuania in the search for missing U.S. soldiers

- We are prepared to support our Allies. Polish troops and heavy equipement are heading Lithuania- said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. However, everything depends on the decision of the Lithuanian side.

The General Commander of the Armed Forces has formed a special military task group named Hercules to support these actions.

Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized that about 15 different types of vehicles are also available for the military task group Hercules, created for this operation.

Tragedy in Lithuania. Search efforts are ongoing

Four American soldiers went missing during exercises at the Lithuanian training ground in Podbrodze. Despite media reports, their deaths have not been confirmed. The tracked vehicle the Americans were using was found in the mud. Efforts to retrieve it are ongoing.

Lithuanian Defence Minister Dovile Szakaliene thanked Poland for its involvement and readiness to help. - She expressed her gratitude for Poland's involvement and readiness, conveyed by Kosiniak-Kamysz. The search operation continues, with Lithuanian and foreign military personnel participating in the efforts.
