In a conversation with the Italian newspaper "La Repubblica," Petro Poroshenko reiterated his stance on the territories occupied by Russia. He emphasized that Ukraine cannot surrender them and insisted that Vladimir Putin must engage in real negotiations.

Poroshenko pointed out that Kyiv's conditions should adhere to the Minsk agreements of 2014 and 2015, which cover national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and Ukraine's defense capabilities. Additionally, he underscored the necessity of maintaining sanctions against Russia until the agreements are fully executed.

Poroshenko stressed the need for Ukraine, the European Union, and the United States to deliver a direct message to Putin: implement a 30-day ceasefire, initiate negotiations, and outline a strategy to end the war.

He added that if this does not happen, a "Plan B" should be activated, which involves "unlimited military assistance."

Plan B

Poroshenko did not disclose details about "Plan B," but stressed that it aims to ensure unlimited military support for Ukraine.

The former president of Ukraine underlined that Putin is no longer in a position to manipulate the situation.
