In a conversation with journalists before the Ukraine-US meeting in Saudi Arabia, Marco Rubio expressed that the partial ceasefire plan in Ukraine "is promising."

- I'm not saying that alone is enough, but it's the kind of concession you would need to see in order to end this conflict - stated the US Secretary of State.

According to the Financial Times, the Ukrainian authorities are willing to agree to a partial ceasefire with Russia in exchange for the resumption of intelligence data sharing and military assistance from the United States.

As reported, Kyiv plans to discuss such a scenario during negotiations with the American delegation on 11 March in Saudi Arabia. The partial ceasefire would include refraining from using drones and long-range missiles and halting combat operations in the Black Sea.

Peace talks to begin. Marco Rubio to meet Andriy Sybiha

The US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, will meet with the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Andriy Sybiha, in Saudi Arabia. In announcing these talks, Ukraine declares its willingness to find a consensus and promptly restore peace.

"The agenda: Ukrainian-American bilateral relations, our strategic partnership and its further development. And, of course, the path to peace is at the centre of the conversation. Ukraine is constructive, ready and eager for peace like no other country. And we want to restore peace quickly," stated the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs previously announced that Russia's participation in the upcoming talks is not planned.
