The Russian leader made a statement to the media, summarizing the international events he participated in over recent days in connection with the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. He devoted the second part of his speech to the war in Ukraine.

He accused Kyiv of breaking the Easter truce. He said that the Easter truce initiated by Russia was also not upheld. The ceasefire was violated by Ukrainian forces almost 5,000 times, he said.

He also referred to the moratorium on attacks on energy facilities. Putin stated that the Kyiv regime demonstratively violated the 30-day moratorium approximately 130 times on attacks on energy facilities from March 18 to April 17, which was announced in accordance with agreement with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Russians break agreements

As a result of talks between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin, it was agreed to halt attacks on energy infrastructure by Russia and Ukraine.

However, the Russians repeatedly broke this agreement. An example is the attack on the energy infrastructure of the Sumy region. At the same time, Russia continues attacks on civilian facilities in Ukraine.
