Putin blames West for war, rebuffs Trump's 'gone crazy' claim

Vladimir Putin believes that the West forced him into the war with Ukraine. The Russian leader responded to Donald Trump's comments, in which Trump stated that "Putin has gone absolutely crazy." "They carried out a coup. They forced us to do what we are doing now," said Putin at a meeting with Kremlin officials.

Much of the information disseminated by Russian media and government representatives is probably not true. Such reports may be part of an information war by the Russian Federation.

Donald Trump commented harshly on Vladimir Putin's behaviour. The former US President stated that the Russian leader "has gone absolutely crazy." This marks the first time he has emphatically blamed Putin for the outbreak of the war and the death of civilians during the conflict with Ukraine.

The Russians are attempting to downplay the American leader's comments. First, Dmitry Peskov mocked Trump, claiming he was suffering from "emotional overload." Now, Vladimir Putin has responded to the US President's words, scandalously accusing Western countries of being responsible for the war.

We didn't organise the coup in Ukraine. We were constantly told that we need democracy, elections... they carried out a coup and that was it, as if it should be so. Bloody and then they went on to suppress Donbas and so on, to destroy people from helicopters, planes. They forced us to do what we are doing now, and they are trying to make us guilty of it, said the Russian leader.

Putin did not mention a word at the same time about the civilians being killed and the continuous missile attacks that regularly occur in Ukrainian cities. He also did not address the regular rejection of proposals for a longer ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine.
