Putin's unusual claims: Russia home to more Ukrainians than Ukraine
Vladimir Putin held the annual conference, where he answered a series of questions that were meticulously selected beforehand. At one point, he addressed Ukrainians. Bizarre words were spoken.
Much of the information provided by Russian media or government representatives is propaganda. Such reports are part of the information war conducted by the Russian Federation.
Putin claimed that if not as many Ukrainians live in Russia as in Ukraine, there might even be more. - “I'm not joking,” he said.
- This may mean that the people who live in the new territories, such as Crimea, and those who have moved to us, might even number around 1 million. And overall, we have approximately the same number of Ukrainians living in Ukraine, he tried to persuade.
After a moment, he added: “And by the way, we invite them. These are people of our culture, essentially part of our nation.”
- We are interested in highly qualified workers coming to the country, including those who are simply promoters of our traditional values, Putin stated.
