Queen Camilla's health impacts royal duties amid Qatar visit
Queen Camilla has not fully recovered from the infection she contracted during her visit to Australia. She was absent from the welcoming ceremony and parade during the official visit of the Emir of Qatar and his wife to the United Kingdom. Following doctors' recommendations, the queen had to prioritize her health.
The adventures of the British royal family have been a focal point for media worldwide for many years. Lately, however, there has been increased talk about the royals' health problems, and there's certainly no shortage of them. Currently, much attention is focused on Queen Camilla. The wife of King Charles III contracted a severe infection that has significantly disrupted her royal duties.
The Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, along with one of his wives, has arrived in the United Kingdom on an official state visit. Naturally, the British royal family prepared a whole array of attractions for the guests. One such event was a ceremonial horse parade. However, Queen Camilla was absent from the event.
Queen Camilla's health issues
It turns out that Queen Camilla has still not recovered from the severe infection she contracted during her trip to Australia in October. The program for the Emir of Qatar and his wife's visit to the royal court had to be adjusted because doctors advised Camilla to avoid outdoor activities due to her health condition.
The queen will not attend the official welcoming during the state visit of Qatar due to persistent side effects from a chest infection, but she will participate in other parts of the day, as stated in the Buckingham Palace announcement.
Although the queen did not attend the formal welcoming, she was present at a special presentation and lunch at Buckingham Palace. According to a report from "DailyMail," the 76-year-old revealed during the event that the chest infection she contracted was a form of pneumonia. Camilla also emphasized that she "still suffers from chronic side effects of this illness." A source indicated that the queen has experienced a "significant drop in energy."
