US Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized on Fox News that a breakthrough in talks concerning Ukraine must happen quickly. Otherwise, President Donald Trump will have to decide how much longer to dedicate time to this issue.

I think we know where Ukraine is, and we know where Russia is right now…. They're closer, but they're still far apart, added the Secretary of State, as quoted by the RFE/RL.

Rubio indicated that a lack of quick progress in the talks might prompt President Trump to change his stance on the Ukrainian conflict. Rubio will replace Mike Waltz, who will assume the position of US Ambassador to the United Nations.

Rubio highlighted that in this context, the question arises about the future scale of US purchases from China.
