The Russians have taken the village of Nieskuchne, located southwest of the town of Velyka Novosilka in the Donetsk region, as reported by DeepState. They also advanced in the nearby area of Vremivka.

Velyka Novosilka has been a primary target for the Russians since the fall of 2024. Nieskuchne is the second-to-last village on the aggressors' path, with the small village of Vremivka still separating them from Novosilka. Heavy fighting is ongoing in the area.

To the north of Novosilka, the Russians have gained control over areas to the west and south of the village of Novy Komar.

This tightens the ring around the Ukrainian positions. According to Ukrainian media, the distance between the furthest points of the encirclement is only about 6 kilometres.
