Russian military's brutal measures affect their troops
The Russian forces display cruelty at the front, not only towards Ukrainians but also towards their soldiers. Evidence of this can be found in a recording that is circulating online, featuring a young Russian soldier tied to a tree, waiting for a drone encounter.
New punishment methods invented by Russian soldiers are alarming. There are terrifying scenes even within the Russian ranks. This is evident, for example, in a recording accessible online.
A young Russian soldier, introducing himself as "Maloy," was tied to a tree by two colleagues. This was allegedly a new form of "punishment" for the serviceman, who was born in 2002.
Why did two Russian soldiers tie up their colleague? He was expected to wait for a drone to "greet" him. All of this can be seen in the recording available online.
In the video, the soldier explains why he was "punished." He describes, albeit chaotically, that he did not want to follow another Russian soldier's orders due to fear.
Ultimately, it remains unclear if the young man tied to the tree was left to fend for himself or if it was just a form of "intimidation."
This is not the first instance of self-inflicted hardship among Russians on the front. Numerous recordings published online depict terrorized soldiers. Occasionally, they also "expose" their fellow soldiers to Ukrainian drones, just like the young soldier in this recording.
Many soldiers have been beaten by their superiors. The reasons were sometimes trivial and unspecified. Some of the abused and intimidated soldiers ended up as prisoners of war in Ukraine, where they shared their wartime experiences.
