To make scrambled eggs, you only need a few ingredients. Essentially, all you need are eggs and a bit of fat. Although the second ingredient is just an addition, it seems extremely important. It also affects the taste of the entire dish. Can you do without it?

What fat to use for scrambling eggs?

To scramble eggs, you need a non-stick pan in which you melt fat. According to culinary experts, the tastiest scrambled eggs are made with butter. It's better to use clarified butter because regular butter is not meant for frying, and you have to be careful it doesn’t burn, as it has a low smoke point.

Fat gives scrambled eggs the right consistency and adds a characteristic flavour. Unfortunately, this means that a seemingly small addition significantly increases the calorie content of the meal. Not everyone can handle fried dishes.

How to scramble eggs without fat?

It's simpler than you might expect. Just pour a little water into the pan, bring it to a boil, and crack in the eggs. The further procedure is exactly the same as with classic scrambled eggs. They may not be fried, but rather boiled or steamed, yet they taste very good and set quickly.
