Technical glitch leads Carrie Underwood to go a cappella
Unexpected technical problems occurred during President Donald Trump's inauguration ceremony. Singer Carrie Underwood didn't receive the music for the song "America the Beautiful," which she was supposed to perform.
After Donald Trump's swearing-in and inaugural speech, country star Carrie Underwood was scheduled to perform briefly. The music started but then stopped abruptly, causing confusion among the participants of the event.
The surprised artist waited for the issue to be resolved for a while. Eventually, she decided to sing without the backing track.
"I'll just sing, you know the words," said Carrie Underwood, and she performed a cappella.
"America the Beautiful" is a well-known American patriotic song, previously performed by artists such as Ray Charles. There were once plans to make it the second national anthem of the United States. However, that did not materialize.
