The Minister of Defence of Pakistan, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, reported a potential aggression from India. Authorities in Islamabad anticipate an invasion soon due to escalating tensions after the terrorist attack in Kashmir.

The Pakistani military is preparing for potential aggression. - We have reinforced our forces because it is something which is imminent now. So in that situation, some strategic decisions have to be taken, so those decisions have been taken - Asif said in an interview with Reuters.

Increased tensions between India and Pakistan

Minister Asif emphasized that India's rhetoric towards Pakistan is becoming more aggressive. Authorities in New Delhi accuse Islamabad of the recent attack in Kashmir, in which 26 people were killed. This further aggravates the situation between the two countries.

On Friday, there was an exchange of fire between the armies of both countries along the border in Kashmir. In some places along the Line of Control, there have been incidents involving small arms, reported NDTV. Fortunately, there are no reports of civilian casualties as of now.

The situation on the India-Pakistan border remains tense. Both countries must take steps to avoid further escalation of the conflict, which could have significant consequences for the region.
