Tragedy in Haifa: Suspected terrorist attack leaves one dead
In Haifa, located in northern Israel, a stabbing incident occurred near the main station. One person has died, and four others were injured. The police suspect it was a terrorist attack.
The chief of police, Daniel Lewi, stated that "officers are working to identify the attacker and are checking if there are additional suspects in the area".
The attack resulted in the death of a man approximately 70 years old. A 30-year-old woman and man, along with a 15-year-old, were seriously injured, while a 70-year-old woman sustained moderate injuries.
Terrorist attack in Israel? Investigation underway
Initially, Israeli media reported on two attackers: one stabbing passersby with a knife and the other shooting at them.
Later on, it was clarified that this second person was most likely aiming at the attacker. The motives of the perpetrator are currently unknown.
