On Tuesday, late afternoon Eastern Time, a phone call between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin concluded. In communications issued afterward, both sides conveyed that the Russian dictator agreed to a 30-day suspension of attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure targets.
A full ceasefire was made conditional by Russia on the complete halting by the West of arms and intelligence supply to Ukraine.
