“U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday he expects a U.S.-Ukraine revenue-sharing agreement on Ukrainian critical minerals will be signed soon,” as reported by Reuters and the Kyiv Independent.

During Monday’s meeting with the cabinet, Trump also told reporters that the United States is discussing with Ukraine the possibility of American companies acquiring Ukrainian power plants.

“We're talking about territory right now. We're talking about lines of demarcation, Talking about power, power plant ownership. Some people are saying the United States should own the power plant...because we have the expertise,” the American leader is quoted as saying by Reuters.

The two countries had previously planned to sign an agreement regarding mineral extraction on February 28, but this plan was abandoned after a sharp dispute between Trump and President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Now the American president has assured that he expects the imminent signing of an agreement between the U.S.A. and Ukraine on the division of revenues from Ukrainian mineral resources.
