- All illegal border crossings will result in detention and we will begin the process of deporting millions of illegal immigrants back to where they came from - Donald Trump said in his inaugural speech.

Sworn in as the 47th President of the USA, Trump announced plans to implement a state of emergency on the southern border with Mexico.

This decision aims to immediately halt illegal border crossings and begin the process of sending foreign criminals back to their countries of origin.

"Catch and release"

Trump also announced that he would reinstate the policy of having immigrants remain in Mexico and end the practice of "catch and release." Additionally, the president plans to send troops to the border to counteract illegal immigration, which he described as a "disastrous invasion."

As part of the fight against crime, Trump intends to designate drug cartels as terrorist organizations. He will also utilize an 1798 law so that federal and provincial law enforcement agencies can effectively eliminate foreign gangs and criminal networks.
