Donald Trump has surprised again. CNN, citing two independent sources, reported on the change of decor in the White House. The president moved the portrait depicting Barack Obama to the spot where the likeness of George W. Bush previously hung.

This portrait, in turn, will now adorn the walls by the stairs, where the portrait of George H. W. Bush already hangs. The most visible spot, which all visitors will see, has been reserved for the current president.

A portrait of Donald Trump has been hung in the grand foyer. It shows the face of the 78-year-old smeared with blood. He is making a meaningful gesture with a raised fist, symbolizing strength and victory. The photograph was taken a few seconds after an unsuccessful assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July 2024.

During the election campaign, Donald Trump was shot in the ear. The creator of the work is unknown, but it's known to reference photos taken by photographers Evan Vucci from Associated Press and Doug Mills from the "New York Times".

The value of the painting also remains a mystery. For observers of American political life, the decision to place it in a key location of the residence is significant and shows what differentiates the current president from his predecessors.

During Joe Biden's term in the Oval Office and the adjoining corridors, only six portraits hung. When Barack Obama was head of state, in addition to the likenesses of former leaders, modern works by native painters were hung on the walls.

The appearance of the Oval Office itself is also interesting. As the American press reports, Melania Trump's husband has a penchant for opulence and luxury, so more golden accents have appeared in the room.

This includes ornate figurines over the fireplace, gold eagles on side tables, and cherubs modeled after those from the Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. Even the TV remote and the iconic button on the desk, which allows Donald Trump to order a Diet Coke at any time, are said to be gilded.
