Trump's approval ratings soar past 50% amid new policies
In the American media, new polls have emerged regarding support for Donald Trump. They indicate that the U.S. President has experienced a rise in popularity. More than 50% of Americans believe that the policies implemented by the Republican leader are beneficial for the United States.
At the beginning of his second presidential term, Donald Trump had to contend with weak poll results. In most surveys, support for the American president did not exceed 50%.
In recent weeks, Trump’s popularity ratings have started to climb. The best evidence of this is a survey conducted by Rasmussen Reports, which was published on Tuesday (May 27).
The survey shows that 50% of Americans consider Donald Trump's actions beneficial for the United States. Conversely, 45% of respondents hold the opposite view, while 5% have no opinion on the matter.
The research centre published a comparison of its conducted surveys. They cover the period from the beginning of Donald Trump's second presidential term. They indicate that support for the Republican politician is growing.
Tuesday's poll, however, is by far the best during the entire presidency. For the first time, Donald Trump can boast support at the 50% level. A previous survey (conducted from May 18-22) showed that about 48% of American voters support Trump.
According to CBS journalists, the higher support for the American president might be influenced by effective immigration policies and a tax cut bill. The proposal has already been passed by the House of Representatives and is now awaiting consideration by the U.S. Senate.
