Trump's surge in popularity signals shift in American sentiment
Donald Trump is experiencing record popularity, and more Americans than ever believe the country is heading in the right direction, according to the latest poll data.
According to CNN analyst Harry Enten, Trump is now more popular than ever in his first term. Enten emphasizes that 45 percent of Americans believe the country is on the right track, which is the second-highest figure since 2009.
Meanwhile, a poll by NBC News indicates that 44 percent of citizens share this opinion, marking the highest figure since 2004. "The bottom line is, the percentage of Americans who say we’re on the right track is through the roof," stated Enten.
Prospects for Republicans
The rise in optimism among Americans could benefit Republicans in the upcoming Congressional elections in 2026. Enten notes that the current poll results resemble those seen in past Republican victories.
"Looks a heck of a lot more like when Republicans win than when Democrats win," added the CNN analyst.
