What is angel chocolate?
A new viral delicacy has appeared on TikTok - Turkish chocolate. Unlike Dubai chocolate, it's made with white chocolate, usually dyed light pink or light blue.
The filling mainly consists of Turkish Pismaniye, similar to our cotton candy. Some people also compare it to halvah. It consists of sugar stretched in wheat flour with optional additions such as cocoa or vanilla. The texture of this traditional treat is very fluffy and fibrous. Colloquially, it's called angel hair. Hence, the alternate name for Turkish chocolate is angel chocolate.
Is the novelty more expensive than Dubai chocolate?
Although the composition of angel chocolate sounds quite exotic, its price raises the most eyebrows. An influencer known as "such a topic" decided to try the novelty. For a 74-gram bar on promotion, he paid $10, which translates to $140 per kilogram. If he decided to buy the chocolate without a discount, he would pay $14.50, which is approximately $192.50.
