The General Staff of Ukraine issued a statement denying that Ukrainian forces were responsible for the attack on the gas measuring station in Sudzha, located on Russian territory. According to the Ukrainian authorities, these accusations are part of a campaign aimed at discrediting Ukraine.

The mentioned station has been shelled multiple times by the Russians themselves. (…) It is worth noting that earlier the Russian troops used the gas pipeline (leading to Sudzha) to move their units - shared the General Staff in Kyiv.

On the night from Thursday to Friday, a fire broke out at the measuring station in Sudzha. Russian media quickly accused Ukraine of carrying out the attack, which allegedly aimed to break the ceasefire regarding attacks on energy infrastructure. The Ukrainian portal NV emphasizes that these allegations are unfounded.

Sudzha was recently under Ukraine's control

Sudzha, located in the Kursk region, was recently under the control of Ukrainian forces, which have since withdrawn from the area. Nevertheless, Ukraine still maintains a presence in a small part of this region in Russia.

The Sudzha gas measuring station is part of the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhhorod pipeline, which was used by Russia to transport gas through Ukraine to Europe until the start of 2025. Ukraine halted this transit for national security reasons.

Russia continues attacks on civilians. "Russia has changed its drone attack tactics on Ukraine and is sending them in large numbers for targeted strikes on civilian infrastructure," shared the authorities in Kyiv. In this way, Odessa was attacked on the night from Thursday to Friday.

The attacks are targeted, and Putin calls it a ceasefire – wrote Daria Zarivna, an adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine for communication, on Telegram.
