Ukraine drones target key Russian depots in massive assault
Overnight from Saturday to Sunday, Ukrainian forces conducted a drone attack on a Russian weapons depot in the Bryansk region, which borders Ukraine. The attack resulted in eight explosions and a significant fire.
The Ukrainian military announced on Telegram that "monitoring results show the presence of at least two points of fire on the military unit premises and signs of secondary detonation. At 2:00 AM ET, a substantial fire was still burning at the facility."
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defence reported that at least 70 Ukrainian drones were shot down over Russian territory. The drones entered the following regions: Moscow, Tula, Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, and Kaluga. As many as 32 drones appeared near Moscow, resulting in traffic restrictions at the main airports in the capital and surrounding areas.
According to the Russian BBC service, the Ukrainian attack sparked fires on several private properties, and one person was injured.
This was the largest Ukrainian drone attack on Russia's capital since the beginning of the war.
