The US special envoy to Ukraine, Gen. Keith Kellogg, reported that Ukraine presented its peace proposals to the United States. A response from Russia is now awaited.
Kellogg stated that once both sides present their plans, the USA will be able to compare them and organize another meeting dedicated to peace talks. He said on Fox News that they would like to organize them in the Vatican, as it was intended, but the Russians did not want to go there.
Will Geneva be the location for talks?
According to Gen. Kellogg, the next meeting might take place in Geneva. There, leaders from the USA, Ukraine, and Russia could work out an agreement and sign a document ending the war.
Gen. Kellogg emphasized that Donald Trump is “the only person” who can negotiate peace in Ukraine. He also pointed out the need for continued pressure on the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, to get him to come to the negotiating table.
