Ukraine urged to halt military actions amid deepening crisis
General Waldemar Skrzypczak suggests that Ukraine must halt military actions to avoid disaster. Russia is intensifying attacks, and the situation for the Ukrainian army is critical.
In his analysis on wprost.pl, General Waldemar Skrzypczak highlights that Ukraine is in a deep crisis due to a lack of manpower. "Some brigades have been in continuous combat since the start of the war," he notes. The situation is worsened by the inability to replenish units and the losses from the failed offensive in Zaporizhzhia in June 2023.
Russia intensifies attacks
Russia has stepped up attacks on Ukrainian forces in the Kursk and Donetsk regions, as confirmed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Gen. Oleksandr Syrskyi. General Skrzypczak warns that Russia aims for a quick end to the war by imposing its terms in negotiations. The Kremlin is hoping for concessions from Ukraine and the West.
According to Skrzypczak, Russia does not plan to occupy territories west of the Dnieper to avoid the need to maintain occupation forces. "Putin does not want this. He has other strategic goals arising from alliances with Asian countries," assesses the general. Russia wants to draw NATO and the USA into a hybrid war on the European continent.
In light of current challenges, General Skrzypczak stresses that the only salvation for Ukraine is to halt military activities.
Meanwhile, General Roman Polko, former commander of GROM, warns Ukraine against attacks on Russian commanders, which could be perceived as violations of international law. "Ukraine must be careful not to be accused of engaging in terrorist activities," Polko points out.
