During the night from Thursday to Friday, Ukrainians launched a large-scale attack on numerous targets in Russia. The Russian Ministry of Defence reported late Thursday evening about the attack by Ukrainian drones in the Kursk, Ryazan, and Bryansk regions, in Crimea, and near Moscow, as reported by Reuters.

Videos rapidly surfaced online showing the aftermath of the night attack. Among the targets was the refinery in Ryazan. Furthermore, three Moscow airports, Vnukovo, Domodedovo, and Zhukovsky, suspended all flights. One such video captured the explosion at the attacked refinery, prompting people gathered around to flee in panic.

By morning, air traffic was halted in the airports of Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Penza, Samara, and Saratov. Residents of Engels in Saratov, as well as those in Bryansk, also reported hearing explosions.

Uneasy night also in Ukraine

The Russians carried out a nighttime attack using drones, targeting residential areas in Kyiv. The State Emergency Services of Ukraine reported that drone debris struck a 10-storey residential building, causing a fire and damage to the 6th and 7th floors.

Rescuers reported that 150 residents were evacuated from the building. At least one person was killed in the attack. The rescue operation at the site is still ongoing.
