Apple pie coffee is ideal for a relaxing morning with a book or a long-anticipated chat with a friend. Sweet, aromatic, and with an autumn vibe—coffee with apple mousse gently stimulates and undoubtedly lifts your spirits. It's something special for all autumn enthusiasts.

Coffee and dessert 2-in-1

Try ready-made recipes if you're craving coffee with sweet additions but don't want to experiment too much. You can confidently add caramel, vanilla, or hazelnut syrup to the popular Viennese coffee. Variants with liqueurs, such as amaretto or advocaat, are also tried and true. You can serve this coffee with ice cream or whipped cream.

What should you be careful about when preparing coffee with additions?

From Pumpkin Spice Latte to gingerbread coffee—the autumn ambience encourages sweet coffee experiments. However, caution is advised. Coffee doesn't pair well with everything, and a small oversight can result in a total disaster. A lumpy, curdled drink won't elevate your mood or please your guests.

Be particularly cautious when adding syrups or fruit purees to coffee. Making coffee with passion fruit, mango, or apple mousse is possible only if you first add the mousse to warm milk, not directly to hot coffee.

It's also important to remember that a stimulating drink won't pair well with overheated plant-based milk, such as oat or coconut milk.

Recipe for coffee with apple mousse

To make apple pie-flavoured coffee, you need:

  • 70 millilitres of milk,
  • 50 millilitres of espresso,
  • 1.5 tablespoons of apple mousse,
  • 1 tablespoon of date syrup,
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon,
  • 50 millilitres of heavy cream.

You can use either homemade apple mousse or the popular store-bought purée in a tube for the coffee.

Instructions

  1. Heat the apple mousse in a saucepan.
  2. Mix with the date syrup and cinnamon (you can substitute syrup with honey or sugar, such as cane sugar).
  3. Pour the mixture into the bottom of a glass.
  4. Whip the cream.
  5. Then, heat the milk. You can try frothing it with a mixer, blender, whisk, or French press.
  6. Pour the warm milk over the apple mousse.
  7. Finally, add the espresso and top with whipped cream.

Additional suggestions

You can garnish apple mousse coffee with gingerbread, crushed cookies, or grated chocolate. It tastes great alongside vanilla ice cream or desserts based on mascarpone cheese.
