Carter was the 39th president of the USA. He held this office from 1977 to 1981. In 2002, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
  • The pilot of the Jeju Airplane, which crashed on Sunday at Muan Airport in southwestern South Korea, informed air traffic control that the plane collided with a bird - reported the South Korean Ministry of Transport on Monday.
