President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky shared a report from the Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, on platform X regarding the front line situation on April 24. In his post, he highlighted that there were almost 150 Russian attacks and over 4,500 instances of shelling, including the use of heavy weapons.

The most challenging situation occurred near Pokrovsk. The President of Ukraine expressed gratitude to all the soldiers who participated in defending these positions.

"Basically, the Russians tried to go on the offence under the cover of their massive strike. While the bulk of our forces were focused on protection from missiles and drones, the Russians significantly intensified their ground attacks. The Russians were met with a strong response," wrote Zelensky.

The President of Ukraine also reported that Ukrainian specialists are inspecting the sites of the strikes, identifying and verifying the circumstances of individual attacks, and conducting examinations of recovered missile and drone fragments to learn more about the weapons Russia is using to attack.

Night attack on Kyiv

In the night from Wednesday to Thursday, Russia launched an attack on Kyiv with a North Korean KN-23 missile. The missile struck a building, killing at least eight people.

According to information provided by Reuters, in 2024, Russia repeatedly used ammunition supplied by North Korea. Pyongyang has become a crucial ally of Moscow, raising concerns on the international stage. This cooperation includes the supply of at least 4 million pieces of artillery ammunition.
