Brief Ukraine-USA talks in Riyadh focus on ceasefire goals

Talks on ending the war
The meeting in Riyadh aims to discuss the terms of a ceasefire between Kyiv and Moscow. The delegations from Ukraine and the USA continued talks that had started earlier, aiming to find a common position on the conflict with Russia.
This time the talks lasted just an hour - as reported by the public Ukrainian broadcaster Suspilne.
Previously, a source from the Ukrainian delegation, cited by AFP, emphasized that "we continue to work with the Americans."
Meanwhile, the Kremlin announced that the content of the negotiations in Riyadh would not be disclosed as they are technical consultations - Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov conveyed. The Russian delegation left the capital of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday after nearly 12 hours of talks with the US delegation.
According to Bloomberg, citing a well-informed source, the talks concerned a 30-day suspension of attacks on energy facilities and military operations in the Black Sea.
Massive attacks on Ukrainian cities
Last week, the Russians attacked residential districts of the city of Kropyvnytskyi in central Ukraine with drones. "Simply hell" could be read on one of the channels on Telegram. On 20 March, Ukrainian authorities reported a massive Russian attack on Odessa. On 23 March, in another night attack on Ukraine, Russia used 147 drones. 97 of them - as reported by the Ukrainian air forces - were shot down. Unfortunately, drone debris fell on homes and streets, causing death and destruction. Three people were killed in Kyiv, including a five-year-old child, and 10 people were injured. On Monday, Russian missiles injured over 70 people in Sumy. A school and a hospital were among the damaged structures.
