Russian soldiers accused of looting homes in Belgorod region

Russian soldiers are causing difficulties for their fellow countrymen. A video has surfaced online from a resident of Repyachowka in the Belgorod region, where a clash with Ukrainians took place. Putin's soldiers have plundered the homes of local Russians.

The video was shared online by former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Anton Herashchenko. In the footage, we see the interior of a home in the village of Repyachowka in the Belgorod region. It was there that the Russians fended off an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

A Russian resident shared footage showing soldiers demolishing his house

In the process, they looted 20 homes in the village. News of the disgraceful behaviour of Putin's soldiers spread on Telegram. A resident of Repyachowka described the state of his home following the soldiers' visit.

Our soldiers are breaking into our homes. I don't know what they were searching for. How can we leave the house and go anywhere? The house was locked. There are empty alcohol bottles everywhere. Our soldiers are "good," "protecting" us by breaking into our homes. They visited my place too, leaving a mess - says a Russian resident.

At the end of the footage, it's noted that the only items that could be taken from the homes were clothes. Apart from that, there was nothing of value to take.

Demoralisation among Russian soldiers is a phenomenon well-documented by the media. As we can see, its effects impact not only Ukrainians but Russians themselves. Some Russian soldiers, after returning from the front, have committed brutal crimes, including murder, robbery, rape, and arson. It's worth remembering that many criminals among Putin's mercenaries go to the front in exchange for amnesty. However, this doesn't mean they behave any differently behind bars. Quite the contrary.
