BFM station reports that the attack occurred in a school, with the perpetrator being a secondary school student who was subdued by teachers. The 15-year-old, armed with a knife, reportedly entered two classrooms and attacked four people. Tragically, one of the victims succumbed to their injuries.

The attacker, a high school student, was previously unknown to the police and had no record of offences.

Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne stated on the platform X, "In the afternoon, a knife attack occurred in a private school in Nantes." She announced plans to visit the site with Bruno Retailleau to "show solidarity with the victims and express support for the teaching community."

Among the three injured, one is in critical condition, another is stable but hospitalised, and the third sustained only minor injuries.
